Make The Sacrifice

THE
DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
SECTION 88
119 aOrganize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a bhouse, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

It is important when you are looking at your priorities that you consider this, is this a needful thing that will prepare me to enter the house of the lord? While relaxing and rest is important, we should not do these things on the Lords day. When the Lords day comes we should have prepared throughout the week to give as well as receive the word of the Lord through the Holy Spirit. This is why I feel it is important that we give the Lord this entire day. If your only day off is Sunday, then give the Lord his day and you will be blessed. Through prayer and study of the Gospel the Lord will find a way for you to prevail. You can only find true happiness through living the Gospel.

Things I Just Don't Understand

~I don't understand why when I talked to you about Home Teaching you were jazzed about the idea of doing it on Sunday, then when Sunday came around you ditched the plan. Then you made your own plan going against the idea and decided to plan it around when you thought it was easiest to get done throughout the week. You then broke the Sabbath by working on your projects on Sunday even though I told you that you can avoid this by getting all of the Home Teaching done on Sunday. You are taking advantage of the fact that I am not working right now and have no car so it would be the only way to get it done which its not. You are being selfish in every means of the word. Sunday is the Lords Day, not the day where Jeremy sleeps, goes to church, then forgets about the lord while is works on his projects. I do not want to go with you to do Home Teaching throughout the week because I do not believe you will be teaching with the spirit. I can only do my part to give you the tools to be happy. You have to apply them in your daily life. Don't think that I am angry at you because I am not. I'm just frustrated in the fact that you think you can teach the principles of the gospel but your not following the advice of it. Last but not least you vent to me which I am used to hearing all the time, but it's for issues you have about your own self-esteem. You need to look to the Lord for your answers and submerge yourself in the word of the Lord. I bare you my testimony that doing the things the Lord would have you do will change your Life. I am not afraid to make that commitment. I am more happy then I have ever been in my life and I owe it to living the Gospel. I know that my redeemer lives. He answers all my prayers. I know that if we strive to live the word of God we will be able to have the spirit with us to be in tune to hear those answers to those prayers. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
